Through the public call, the Fund will select start-up mentors who will be able to actively participate in the start-up mentoring process:

• current beneficiaries of incentives for the establishment of innovative companies (P2) or seed capital (SK), who have an active contract with the Fund for financing the operation or an active convertible loan agreement and companies in which the Fund has an ownership stake; and
• interested start-up companies registered in the Register of Innovative Start-up Companies.

This call abolishes the old List of Start-up Mentors, as the conditions for entry on the list are slightly changing. Therefore, start-up mentors who were previously on the old list must re-apply to be included on the new list.

The following can now apply for entry on the renewed List of Start-up Mentors:

1. start-up entrepreneurs,
2. management staff in start-up companies, and
3. active investors in start-up companies.

The conditions for a start-up mentor to apply in the category of »start-up entrepreneur« are:

• active personal experience with the establishment and management of a start-up company (i.e. demonstrable co-founding, ownership and management of an innovative start-up company or start-up company for a period of at least three (3) years in the last ten (10) years);
• the start-up company must have achieved at least EUR 200,000 in revenue in at least one year during the three (3) years of the start-up entrepreneur’s work;
• experience in mentoring at least two (2) start-up companies in the past three (3) years, voluntarily or for a fee; and
• at least five (5) years of work experience.

The conditions for a start-up mentor to apply in the category of »management staff in a start-up company« are:

• active personal experience in performing a management function in a start-up company (i.e. demonstrably performing a management function for a minimum period of three (3) years in an innovative start-up company or start-up company in the last ten (10) years);
• the start-up company must have achieved at least EUR 200,000 in revenue in at least one year during the three (3) years of the start-up entrepreneur’s work;
• experience in mentoring at least two (2) start-up companies in the past three (3) years, voluntarily or for a fee; and
• at least five (5) years of work experience.

The conditions for a start-up expert to apply in the category of »active investor« are:

• active personal experience with investing in start-up companies (i.e. demonstrably active engagement in the role of a business angel, which is proven by at least one (1) active investment in an innovative start-up company or start-up company in the amount of at least EUR 10,000 in the last five (5) years or participation in the management team of a venture capital fund for a minimum period of three (3) years in the last ten (10) years);
• experience in mentoring at least one (1) start-up company in the past three (3) years, voluntarily or for a fee; and
• at least five (5) years of work experience.
