SEF tool for quick and efficient business plan preparation
The business plan preparation tool is designed to make it easier for entrepreneurs to prepare high-quality business plans — especially for smaller investments and projects with less complex content.
Enables systematic preparation of documentation that is aligned with the requirements of the Slovenian Entrepreneurship Fund (SEF) and also suitable for applications for bank loans.
The tool is divided into two interconnected parts, which together form a comprehensive business plan:
- Textual part (Word) – intended for presenting the company, business idea, market, competition, and plans. In it, the entrepreneur presents past operations and development goals for the future in words and pictures.
- Financial part (Excel) – enables the concretization of plans from the textual part with the help of financial indicators and calculations. The program allows the user to evaluate their business ideas, check the required amount of investment, and estimate the company’s cash flow.
A business plan prepared in this way meets the criteria of banks that cooperate with the Slovenian Entrepreneurship Fund, so you can also use it for independent applications for financing.
Recommendation for users
At the Fund, we have prepared two programs that enable entrepreneurs to systematically prepare a business plan — from the text part to financial projections. Each program contains all the necessary templates, instructions, and links for downloading files.
Important warnings and recommendations
For the tool to function correctly, follow these instructions:
- The tool works exclusively in the Microsoft Office environment (Word and Excel).
- When starting the financial part for the first time, enable the operation of macros.
- Enter amounts in Excel only in blue cells – other cells are programmatically locked.
- White and yellow cells are not intended for manual entry, as they contain formulas.
- Before use, carefully read the instructions for downloading and use – most problems are the result of not following these steps.
For additional information, please contact the SEF team: (02) 234 12 59
The use of the tool is optional and free of charge, so the Fund does not assume responsibility for any technical problems during use.
