Slovene Enterprise Fund announces two million euros in incentives for micro-enterprises in the woodworking industry

The Slovene Enterprise Fund (SEF), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, today, the 17th, 4. 2026 published the public tender P4LM 2026 – Incentives for micro-enterprises in the woodworking industry 26–27, which aims to encourage the development, competitiveness, and sustainable growth of micro-enterprises in the wood processing sector. A total of 2 million euros in grants has been allocated for the tender, which will be available in 2024 and 2027.
An individual company can obtain from 15,000 to 70,000 euros, with co-financing amounting to up to 60% of eligible project costs. SEF estimates that several high-quality projects will be supported, contributing to technological progress and higher added value in the industry.
The tender is focused on promoting investments in modern technological equipment, the digitalization of production processes, and the introduction of sustainable and circular solutions. Special emphasis is placed on projects that enable more efficient use of wood as one of Slovenia’s key natural resources and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Micro-enterprises with one to ten employees that have been registered for at least 18 months and operate in the field of wood processing or furniture production can apply for the tender. Eligible costs include the purchase of new equipment, machinery, tools for wood processing, and software, as well as costs related to their installation and startup (transport, assembly, and commissioning costs).
Projects must be focused on the development of products with a higher level of wood processing and a sustainable impact, while projects related to the energy use of wood or energy production are not eligible for co-financing.
Companies submit applications electronically via the Slovene Enterprise Fund’s ePortal, and the application process is fully digitalized and simplified. The deadline for submission of applications is May 29, 2026, by 2:00 PM.
