The purpose of the call is to enable businesses to access financing easily and quickly to support their operations, investments and liquidity provision.

Purpose and Eligible Costs

Businesses can obtain microloans ranging from EUR 5,000 to EUR 25,000, which can be used for the purchase of new equipment, acquisition of patents, licenses and other rights, or for financing working capital, such as material, service and labor costs. The loan can cover up to 100 percent of eligible project costs, enabling businesses to comprehensively finance their planned activities.

Favorable Loan Terms

Microloans are designed as a favorable financial instrument, offering a maturity period of 2 to 5 years and a principal repayment moratorium of 1 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The interest rate is 37.5 percent of the six-month EURIBOR with a fixed margin of 0.8 percent, with borrowers paying no approval or loan management fees.

In 2026, SEF has already announced two public calls from the microcredit line, namely microloans for micro and small enterprises (call P7 2026) and loans for border problem areas (call P7R 2026), both of which are now closed.

Under call P7 2026, 414 applications were approved for a total amount of EUR 10 million, while call P7R 2026 was closed after the first application round due to exceptionally high demand. For the latter, SEF received more than 410 applications, with the total requested loan value exceeding EUR 20.8 million against the available quota of EUR 10 million.

Through such financial instruments, SEF continues to actively contribute to ensuring liquid and stable operations of Slovenian businesses.
