The subject of the public tender is the co-financing of the establishment and operation of a maximum of 3 competence centers for the development of personnel and the introduction of new business processes in the field of design management – KCDM 4.0.

The purpose of the public tender is to:

• present, introduce and upgrade design management and branding in Slovenian companies,
• systematically develop related competencies of managers and employees,
• expand professional knowledge of design management in the support environment for companies,
• encourage improvements in business processes and increase the competitiveness of Slovenian companies,
• increase the number of jobs in the included companies,
• improve the recognition of Slovenian brands and products or services of Slovenian design.

Within the framework of the public tender, the Fund will select a total of approximately three competence centers in the priority areas:

1. basics of design management,
2. advanced design management (design of innovations).

The subject of the public tender is the financing of activities in the field of design management. The following eligible activities will be supported within the public tender:

• project management, which includes professional-content work, personnel-business function, administrative-financial management of project activities and communication with the public,
• development of knowledge and improvement of business practices in the priority areas of design management knowledge in companies,
• active participation of partners in the field of employee management, personnel development, introduction of design management, exchange of good practices and other relevant content,
• implementation of activities for the wider public (development and promotional conferences, cooperation with young people, students, educational institutions, subjects of the innovative environment, …).

The application can be submitted by a company or a representative body (e.g. clusters), which, if selected as a beneficiary, will lead a consortium of partners and be responsible for the implementation of the project, in accordance with the goals and rules.

A partnership can apply to the public tender if:

• includes at least 15 partners, of which at least 7 are small and/or medium-sized enterprises, whereby the criteria defined by Article 55 of the ZGD-1 are used to determine the size,
• includes partners who together employ at least 1,500 people on the day of application^[1],
• must be in accordance with the purpose, goals and subject of the public tender,
• plans at least 2,000 inclusions in education and training programs in the application,
• plans a training program at the partnership level, in accordance with the priority area of design management knowledge.

The applicant and other partners must also meet the other conditions specified in the tender and tender documentation.
