The purpose of the public call is to contribute to the improvement of the support environment for innovative start-up entrepreneurship by providing free support services for innovative potential entrepreneurs and innovative start-up companies.

Support services will contribute:

• to strengthening innovative entrepreneurial potential
• to accelerating the establishment of new innovative start-up companies
• to increasing the number of newly established innovative companies, especially those that achieve higher added value compared to the Slovenian average
• to improving the development potential and competitiveness of innovative start-up companies and, consequently, to reducing their mortality rate in the initial stages of development

The subject of the public call is the financing of the implementation of support services and other activities of the national start-up consortium, which are provided free of charge to target groups, i.e. innovative potential entrepreneurs and innovative start-up companies.

Support for target groups is provided through:

• promotion of an innovative entrepreneurial culture:
  • information and promotion
  • start-up events

• implementation of comprehensive support services:
  • start-up programs (pre-incubation, incubation and horizontal acceleration)
  • start-up consulting
  • start-up mentoring
  • expert advice

In addition to the support services and activities defined above, the selected national start-up consortium will carry out other activities that are not intended for end users, but are necessary to ensure adequate and comprehensive support services.

• EUR 1.84 million

• In the public call only a consortium can apply, which must include at least six (6) and no more than eight (8) partners, of which at least three (3) partners must have their registered office in the three (3) largest statistical regions in Slovenia (according to the number of newly established companies according to AJPES data for 2021), i.e. in the Central Slovenia, Podravska and Savinjska regions
• The lead partner and all consortium partners can only be legal entities under public or private law, entered in the Business Register of Slovenia, and have already carried out comparable support services and activities that are the subject of this public call for at least five (5) years before the date of publication of the public call
• Other conditions, stated in the tender documentation

• The consortium must allocate eleven (11) start-up consultant quotas to the operation, ensuring that the quotas of funded employees are distributed among the consortium partners in such a way that the consortium partners with their registered office in the cohesion region Eastern Slovenia allocate 5.8 quotas to the operation, and the consortium partners in the cohesion region Western Slovenia allocate 5.2 quotas
• Each consortium partner can allocate a maximum of three start-up consultant quotas to the operation, which can be filled with a maximum of four start-up consultants, whereby at least one start-up consultant must be employed by each consortium partner on the operation for full-time (40 hours per week)
