Purpose of the voucher
- The purpose of this public call is to encourage micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to prepare a voluntary ESG (sustainability) report in accordance with European standards (VSME or simplified ESRS for SMEs), thereby improving their environmental, social, and governance performance.
Amount of funding
- 60% co-financing of eligible costs
- Minimum subsidy: EUR 1,000.00
- Maximum subsidy: EUR 9,999.99
Funds available
- 1,236,000.00 for the 2026–2028 period
Eligible applicants
- micro, small and medium-sized enterprises based in the Republic of Slovenia, which, as legal or natural persons, are engaged in economic activity and are organised as companies or self-employed individuals or cooperatives
Eligible costs
- preparation of a voluntary sustainability report (ESG report), prepared by an external professional service provider in accordance with European sustainability reporting standards for SMEs (VSME or ESRS for SMEs);
- independent review of the ESG report, performed by an authorized audit firm that issues a limited assurance report on the compliance of the report with the prescribed standards;
- publication of the ESG report on the AJPES portal, where the report must be publicly accessible no later than the submission of the claim for subsidy payment.
Service costs directly related to the preparation, review, and publication of the voluntary sustainability report are co-financed.
Special conditions
- The project must be consistent with the purpose of the ESG voucher
- The company must have at least 1 employee during the duration of the project.
- The ESG report must be prepared in accordance with the applicable VSME or simplified ESRS standards and legislation
- The ESG report must be reviewed by an authorized audit firm, which issues a limited assurance report.
- The ESG report must be publicly published on AJPES before the claim is submitted.
- The external service provider must be selected economically and at a market price.
- The external service provider may not simultaneously be an applicant for the call, nor may the applicant act as a provider for another applicant.
- Activities must correspond to the eligible costs of the public call.
- External provider costs are not eligible if it is a related company or a provider that is ownership, management, or family-related to the applicant.
