Purpose of the product

  • to stimulate the development and increase the competitiveness of micro-enterprises in the wood processing industry by providing co-financing for investments in the purchase of new equipment, tools, machinery and software necessary for the technological process of wood processing. Special emphasis is placed on the sustainable growth of companies, the efficient use of wood as a strategic raw material and increasing resilience to external influences and market changes;
  • to support companies that invest in modern, innovative and technologically advanced solutions that contribute to greater added value in the wood chain, while promoting responsible and sustainable management of natural resources.

  • from EUR 15,000 to EUR 70,000 subsidy/company
  • 60% coverage of eligible project costs

Eligible applicants

  • Micro-enterprises with at least one full-time employee and a maximum of 10 employees as of the 31st. 3. 2026, headquartered in the Republic of Slovenia
  • On the date of submission of the application, the company must be registered for at least 18 months
  • Organized as companies, sole proprietors or cooperatives
  • Applicants may be companies that introduce products and services in the field of wood use and have a registered activity:
    • Area C, Section 16 – Manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials (except 16.26 Manufacture of solid fuels from vegetable biomass) or
    • Area C, Section 31 – Manufacture of furniture.

Conditions for application

  • The project must be carried out in the field of wood use and/or wood composites (the proportion of wood in wood composites must be over 50% of the volume
  • The project must not start before the date of publication of the public tender. All activities (e.g., orders, contracts, payments, invoices) are permitted only after the application has been submitted.
  • Credit rating of the applicant according to the S.BON-1 model
  • The company must not be in difficulty
  • The company does not belong to an excluded sector
  • Closed financial construction
  • Still available amount according to »de minimis«
  • Ineligible activities: The following projects cannot apply for the tender:
    • projects in the field of wood processing for energy use (e.g., pellets, wood chips, etc.),
    • projects related to energy production (e.g., solar power plants, solar panels, boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, etc.).

Special conditions

  • A maximum of one application will be approved per applicant
  • The applicant may apply for co-financing funds in only one of the two years
  • The applicant must keep a separate, separate accounting record of eligible and ineligible costs

Eligible costs

  • Tangible fixed assets (purchase of new equipment and tools and new machines for the needs of the technological process of wood processing)
  • Intangible long-term assets (only the purchase of new software for the wood processing process)
  • Costs of transport, assembly and commissioning of equipment

VAT is not an eligible cost.

Period of incurrence of eligible costs

  • In 2026: projects must be completed by the 8th. 11. 2026
  • In 2027: projects must be completed by the 8th. 10. 2027

The application is submitted electronically via the ePortal of the Fund.

  • Before completing the application form, the applicant registers and creates a company profile
  • If the applicant needs assistance in preparing the application, he can add an authorized person who is also registered on the Fund’s ePortal

3. Preparation of the application

  • Non-binding pro forma invoices and offers
    • Issued no more than 60 days before the application submission date. In the list of project costs, all pro-forma invoices or offers must be entered and numbered sequentially. The finally selected contractors may differ from those originally planned during project implementation.
  • Company presentation plan with a financial plan prepared using the financial attachment tool with 2025 as the baseline.

  • Balance sheet and income statement for 2025, submitted to AJPES, including AOP data.
  • Credit rating S.BON-1 or eS.BON (online credit rating)
    • AJPES proof of credit rating S.BON-1 or eS.BON (online credit rating) for companies, sole proprietors, and cooperatives, based on the annual report for 2025.
  • Environmental impact assessment form (Form 4).
